From a Circa 1820 basement shop of a Federal gable ended dwelling house. This stone was positioned flush to ground level and shows the 100 years of foot wear. The unusual thickness is for stability/ resistance to frost heave. Rose granite coloration. Measures 30” x 48” x 12” thick. Photo shows dry, dusty surface which will wash to become more pronounced.
