Buckingham Library

The Buckingham Library was built in 1854. The building was a gift donated by Governor Buckingham (of Lebanon) to the First Congregational Church of Lebanon during his tenure as our Civil War Governor. The church donated the building to the Lebanon Historical Society who contracted with Olde New England Salvage Co. to move the building 1/2 mile to the LHS property. The roof had to be taken completely off to allow for height restrictions with powerlines. The building was moved on August 31st and completely reassembled on September 28th,2011.
