18th C Barn Hitching Rail Hardware Two hand forged spike style hitching rail hardware/irons. These were hammered into a wall and accepted a horizontal wooden rail which measured 2-1/2" x 4"H. The length of the rail is adjustable for your needs. One photo shows how they would be installed. This is a rare find. I have only seen this application once in over 30 years of barn salvage and repair. The rail was held in place by two hand forged nails in each hardware item. See photos.Matching pair $120.00
