RARE FIND……..This was a combination well cover and cistern cover. They were located side by side as shown. The brick lined cistern was most probably used to keep food stuffs cool. The static level of the water became the same on each side. Incredible presence….measures 48”W x 9’-0”L x 5” thick. There is a hairline crack as shown in the close up photo. Each hole is 22” diameter. I have never seen another in my 40 years in business.
